My GSR & JRSC is @ 6psi now but I would like to move up to 9psi w/Hondata, eventually. Since it will take me a while to come up with the bucks for the system and all the support items, I'd like to try to stage some of the prep work beforehand. One of the things I can probably do fairly soon is the ECU swap & conversion harness, which may have some benefit in itself. I have a 2000 GSR, what will I need to do other than plugging in the harness, then connecting the OBD1 ECU? Is there any OBD2 stuff under the hood that will need to be disconnected, or modified? Assuming I spend the bucks for a 94-95 GSR P72 unit, what features other than the immobilizer will be changed or eliminated? Since the immobilizer has it's brains in the ecu, will I need to disconnect anything under the dash, i.e., will the car start? Sorry for all these questions, but I've seen very little written about the details of swapping ECU's.
Thanks!
Bill
